Our fund managers work with MGI B.V., since our CEO Marcel Melis is knowledgeable about the hedge fund industry and has a history of success.

In 2006 Marcel founded Energy Capital Management (AuM $150 ml) to manage the MMT Energy Fund until 2010.

Marcels’ family office has a significant hedge fund and real estate exposure.

In 2010 Marcel founded MGI B.V. to serve a selected group of best-in-class hedge funds. All MGI B.V. distribution fees are invested in funds.

In 2023 Marcel co-founded Fund of Funds Swaen Melis Fund (SMF) with Cliff Go at Swaen Capital.

We are known as being reliable and responsive to inquiries, and have a strong track record of delivering high-quality funds.

Our MGI B.V. team is able to understand the complex financial products that we work with and communicate this information in a way that is easy to understand.
We have one of the widest networks globally.
We can provide access to a wider range of funds than would be available to others.
Our managers and their investors appreciate that our Family Office also invest its own money.

We are selective with the hedge funds that we are adding to our platform and only work with about 20 managers.

We source managers by referrals from industry participants and business partners, and also by attending conferences and using databases.
We screen managers both quantitative and qualitative.
We have contact with the portfolio managers on a regular basis and check their reputation in the industry on an ongoing basis.

We don’t pass any costs on to investors, since our compensation comes from our hedge fund managers.

MGI B.V. is licensed by the Netherlands Authority for Financial Markets (AFM) and is supervised by both the AFM and DNB.
In the U.S.A., securities are offered through our business partner Young America Capital, LLC, a broker-dealer registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”).
